ZigBee Defined

A 'cable replacement' radio technology. It is a competitor to Bluetooth that is claimed to be cheaper and use less power. It uses unlicensed bands at 2.4GHz, 915MHz (US) or 868MHz (Europe). Data speeds are 20kbps to 250kbps depending on the frequency band used. Transmission is from 10 to 75 meters.
